Greens - 1/2 lb diced
Red gram 4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Onions - 1/2 diced
Tamarind extract - 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
In a pan, heat oil, splutter mustard seeds.
Then add the onions and sauté for a while.
Then add the greens and red gram in water and allow to cook.
When it is half done, add the turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
Allow to cook well.
Then add the tamarind extract, add sambar powder and allow to come to a boil.
Goes well with rice.
